Who are the SUDC dance team?
The Street Urban Dance co dance
team has now been running since Mar 05 and is made up of non professional
dancers ifrom alll over Surrey, Sussex and Kent who are work towards putting on
semi- professional performances around the South East of England and the UK
mixing various dance styles. Back in 2005 the SUDC dance first only had 5
people join up and now in Mar 2007 there are over 19 people who regularly train
at the Oakwood Sports Centre, Horley every Thursday Night sharing their ideas
and dancing passion.
How do I join the team and what attributes must I
have?
To
join the dance team or to train to perform with us you must have certain
attributes:

Most importantly you MUST love dancing *
All people interested in dance team must come along to regular class to assess
the level of dancing that you are currently at.
* YOU MUST BE BE COMMITTED to turn up
every week to rehearse with the other team members every Thursday. If you cant
commit then the team isnt for you so please try one of the regular classes.

Are you able to to put 120% effort into your training. If you put the time in
you will get the opportunity to perform. * Can you work with a team of friendly dancers and
share their passion for dance.

MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS (or preapproval)
* Do you want to perform? * Do you want to improve your confidence
and become a better dancer?
* Can you drive? since alot of the performance you will have to
travel within the South East to London
* Do you have a good level of fitness? * Can you work with other
people SO ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE . .

not given out to any third party company or affiliates and are kept secure at
all times.
How do I join the team and what attributes must I
have?
If you are
still interested then great!!! If you have the above qualities cool we would
love to hear from you. Training for performing takes place at each of the
venues. Horley and Farnham The main training session is Horley @ Oakwood Sports
Centre on Thursday evenings at 820pm to 930pm where the core team. Please note
training does not guarantee performing. You are constantly assessed with
attitude towards training, commitment, attitude with working with others and
energy given when training so please give your your best. When we think you are
ready to perform with confidence you will be chosen to perform with the
perofrmance team. Should you wish to come along and get another class a week
thats cool to. Please note dance team is not a drop-in class and f you are
interested please email SUDC prior to coming along. Dance team class is charged
on a 10 week basis. (or from time of coming alng to end of current subscription
period) for those coming for there first time they will be charged £5 and
then payment for the full 10 weeks (or remainder of subsctipion period) will
due the following week. Please note that this fee is not refundable if you
should cease to train with the team. 10 weeks - £50-00 no discounts for
students

What do I get out of being in the team?

More one on one tuition * Opportunities to perform when you are ready * Be part of an ever growing dance
team team of people focused on performing together. * Improve your overall dancing
abilities.
Where and when does it take
place?
EVERY THURSDAY Oakwood Sports Centre Oakwood school Horley, Surrey RH6 9AB
Class time: 8:20 to 9:40pm
What
do I wear: Baggy Clohtes combats, Trackie bottoms. If you are going to be performing with us you will also need Black
Baggy combats, SUDC sweatshirt (£20), SUDC T shirt (£12)
